Emerson grinned and followed her, leaving a few paces between them as he walked behind her and to the right. It was just how he walked. It felt very odd to walk any other way.
As they walked, he watched her. She knew this land already. He was an outsider to her. The waterfalls she spoke of, well, they were hers, not his. He flicked his ears back and forward, constantly listening for the sounds of the waterfalls.
